Throughout the year, myself and the rest of the makeup department had to adapt to working under covid restrictions. although at time we had to work on ourselves because of these restrictions. When we did work on each other or someone from a different department we adhered to the covid safety restrictions, theses included wearing a mask and/or a face shield as well as washing our hads regularly.

At the beginning of the year, we were al put through a brief covid safety course from barbicide which awarded us with certificates stating we have the knowledge to work safely during Covid.

As shown above we were also shown how we should set up a tidy makeup bay of which we did constantly over the year.

Throughout the year, we also used the cut away method with our products to make sure our products remained sterile. This means that instead of dipping straight into our products we used a metal spatula to cut some away and put it onto a metal palette before using it on the talent.

Also throughout the year we adhered to other health and safety regulations like COSHH (The control of substances Hazardous to Health). This means that any isopropyl (rubbing alcohol) was used away from the performers and that any performers that were going to were fake lashes or have latex used on them were tested prior to the application to make sure that the performer did not have any allergies.
