During the 1950s, the makeup consisted of a heavy, flawless yet natural looking complexion. Women would turn to cream or liquid foundation and then set them with a powder, they would then add pink or rose coloured blush to their cheeks to achieve such complexion.

A Lot of women decided to wear a red lipstick with a glamourous one colour eyeshadow used on the upper lid accompanied with eyeliner and mascara to accentuate the eyes (they eyeliner wasn't usually flicked like more modern looks).

The brows were arched and pencilled in to once more accentuate the eyes.
