Little Shop of Horrors Night 2

On Friday 21st of May, it was the second and final night of Little Shop of Horrors.
Before the opening curtain we completed the makeup and hair as a team to be as similar to the previous day as we could for continuity purposes.
Continuity is the principle of making a details in a show consistent between the different performances.
At this time, I had done the makeup and hair for the characters of both Seymour Krelborn and Orin Scrivello. Although I had some help on the hair from Amy Caldecott ( a second year who came to help due some of the team not being able to make a second night).
Through the day, I adhered to all the health and safety precautions that were put in place. This includes a tidy makeup bay, allowing the performers to walk around or go to the bathroom if they need and wearing a mask to stop the spread of Covid-19.
There were some problems that were solved during this team as performers had hair cuts like they previously stated which caused us to rethink the hair as well as I tried recreating the same hair from the night before.
On this particular night I had the option to watch the show. Watching the show allowed me to see the makeup under the lighting that was being used. They used different coloured lighting throughout the show which meant that the makeup would have been perceived differently at different times. Fortunately the male makeup was only a natural makeup and not a character makeup which meant that there weren't many problem to look out for expect one. This one problem was that some of the lighting was making the actors look pale but we combatted this by adding some bronzer but not enough that they looked orange under natural lighting.

I worked on both of the shows which allows me to show my flexibility within the industry as the show started at the same time but the arrival time for the makeup team varied to the day before, this means that I had to research the departure bus from my place of residence again. It could also show that I cared for the performers as I completed the same makeup as the day before and another that I have already worked on as a practice. This means that the actors were already comfortable around myself and were slightly more relaxed before the show.
After the makeup and hair was done for the actors I was working on, I became what we call a flout. This is where I travel between stations and help out wherever i'm needed.
