FMP (Little Shop Of Horrors) Production Meeting 3

On Wednesday the 14th of April we held our second production meeting, during this meeting we discussed our individual designs for Audrey 2/Plant and The Girls.
There were both similarities and differences between each individual design for Audrey 2. After the discussion, we went through aspects of the makeup and came to a census about it.
There were also similarities and differences between the designs for The Girls. After this discussion, we went back to the drawing board as the designs were not adhering to the vision of the director which was conveyed by our tutor Nina Harper.
We started by delegating tasks for creating a mood board around the 90s. After a set amount of time, we all gathered back in the classroom to create the mood board.
Once the mood board was completed we split into 3 groups which each worked together to create a single design for 1 of the girls. This was to be done between then and the next meeting.

Edit 29/05/2021
Some of the similarities between the separate designs for The Girls would include the colour of the eyeshadow, which would range from a nude to a dark brown but be a similar product as to make them cohesive. The designs as showed that most of the team decided to use a combination of brown and red lipstick as to make The Girls look different to one another but similar which would also make them look cohesive. Most of the team also decided that one girl would have space buns, another a bun and the third have some form of a plait.
Although there were also so differences between the designs for The Girls. One of the differences was that one member of the team gave all the girls the same makeup using the same products but they varied the colours between them as one was blue, another red and the third was green. A difference I had to other peoples designs was that I varied the skin tone between them as in the script they were young black street urchins and we didn't know the skin tones of the actresses cast for these roles. After seeing that the designs didn't match what the director envisioned for the 90s so we decided to return to the drawing board and create a mood board reflecting the 90s to then guide our makeup designs further as described in the first part of my post.

There were also some similarities and differences between the designs for Audrey 2/ The plant. Some of the similarities included the colour scheme, of which green, red and white were a constant across all designs. Another similarity was the makeup being drag inspired all tho this was only across some of the designs.
Some of the differences includes the colour of the skin as some of the team designed it to be green, others designed the skin to be matched to the actresses while a few designed the makeup to be pale as to make any other colour look brighter.
After this we decided to keep the colour scheme due to the constant across the designs and the drag aspect as the director loves the concept and art of drag. We also decided to use a pale skin tone as to make the actresses look more extra-terrestrial as the plant itself is an extra-terrestrial being (meaning from outer space).

Below is and image of the mood board that was created.
