FMP (Little Shop of Horrors) 2

On the 22nd of March 2021, majority of the members of the makeup department started working on gather images for what they thought would go best for Seymour Krelborn, Audrey Falquard, Audrey 2 and The Girls as well as some information to then create individual designs and mood boards in our sketchbooks.

The images I gathered for Seymour Krelborn consisted of dirty unkept hands and clothes (due to him being poor and clumsy), facial acne (as it can be caused by poor hygiene), unkept facial hair (also caused by poor hygiene), florists apron (because of his profession), bandaged fingers (from the quote "band-aids on each 10 of his fingers"), a receding hairline (from my initial portrayal), bald spot in the hair (also from my initial portrayal) and 90s male hairstyles (as the director wanted to set the play in the 90s).

The images I gathered for Audrey Falquard consisted of bleach blonde hair (from my initial portrayal), 90s female hairstyles (as the director wanted it set in the 90s), a red mark on a face (from the quote "He slaps her"), a black eye on a face and a wheel of black eye colours (from another quote "sporting a black eye")

The images I gathered for Audrey 2 consisted of a green colour palette (because plants vary in colour), rose thorns (as they can be deadly), Venus flytraps (described as a cross between a venus flytrap and an avocado), other portrayals of Audrey 2 (as inspiration towards the makeup), a wilted plant (said to be wilted before it gets blood)and bright green leaves (i saw this as a colour that could be deadly as bright colours attract insects)

The images I gathered for The Girls consisted of trendy 90s  clothing (as they are young and would most likely keep up with trends) , trendy 90s black woman hair (keeps up with trends and are described as a person of colour in the script), street urchin clothing (because of their profession), 90s makeup (as the director wanted it set in the 90s) and a couple of the spice girl (as they would have influenced trends during that time).

No individual tasks were delegated as this was the first stage and we wanted to see what each member would bring to the table. We did this to create an initial pool of ideas for each character so we could develop our ideas as a team and then present them to the director once this was done.
