This meeting was the second for this version of A Midsummer Nights Dream. On the 24th of November 2020 from 12.45pm till 1.30pm.
During this meeting we discussed our initial designs for the characters while also discussing what we could add or change about them. The clothing and skin tone were highly discussed as this would affect the makeup because the skin tone would be affected differently by different coloured lighting.
After we concluded the meeting each of us paired up and started attempting the makeup from the designs on each other. This gave us an opportunity to change parts of the design as we saw fit.
This makeup was done to me by another student. This is for the character of Moth (a fairy). The contour is a brown which could symbolise the brown of a moths wings while the dark reds and other brownish red colours symbolise the patterns that could also be on a moths wings.

The red lip would not be used if there was blue lighting as it would show up black, it would also cause the skin to look grey. A white lighting would make the skin look more pale whereas amber lighting, which is quite commonly used, would make the talents skintone look warmer.
The makeup would have to be made long lasting as the heat from the lights would cause the makeup to melt otherwise.
The contour and other aspects of the makeup would have to be enhanced where needed depending on both the stage size and the size of the audience. With the size of the stage and audience not confirmed we decided to design the makeup for a medium stage and audience. This is because we could either tone it down or make it heavier for changes in size.
Edit 01/03/2021
We made sure that we adhered to the health and safety protocols when doing the makeup. We wore masks and washed our hands between models to prevent the spread of coronavirus and other contraindications. We also made sure that our brushes were clean. We also made sure that our area was tidy and the seats disinfected between talent.
Our designs and other planning of the characters were effective as the visual and actual ages of the characters were decided as well as the time setting and clothing for the production.
